I grew up in a missionary family.

My parents were Bible translators working with the indigenous people groups in Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico. They spent their time translating the word of God into languages that did not yet have a Bible.

I spent most of my young adult life working for the world and for my own gain. It’s what the world wanted me to do and it’s what I knew how to do. But every place I moved to and every job I held simply made me realize there was something more that I should be doing.

So I took a break from working, packed my bag, and started the 2200 mile journey that is the Appalachian Trail. It turns out that’s a long time to think and pray and it’s exactly what I needed to realize that while the path I had been on was ok, Jesus had a plan for me that was so much better. It was then that I committed the rest of my life to following where God leads and helping those who need it most. He has called me to go and I will go.

William Borden once said,

“If ten men are carrying a log — nine of them on the little end and one at the heavy end — and you want to help, which end will you lift on?”

In my case, the end I have felt called to lift is that of a missionary pilot. I am to reach those whom others cannot reach and bring them medicine, food, clean water, pastors and missionaries, and the love of God.

There is peace, fulfillment, and satisfaction when you decide to follow God’s calling in your life. There’s also a lot of hard work ahead but fortunately, His grace is sufficient for me. It’s time to do what I was made to do. Help others.

Would you like to join me on this journey? Pray for me and for this ministry I am called to serve in. Provide encouragement by email, text, or a phone call. And if God is leading you to provide financial support for this ministry, be ready for when God has me begin. I’ll need the help and God usually works through His own people to provide the means to make ministry happen.

Thank you! Joe

It’s me!
